Leadership Meeting

We’re excited about the meeting tonight. Why? The lifeline of any organization or ministry is kept flowing by the passionate leaders and volunteers that can ignite the minds and hearts of other people. Look at Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks, Billy Graham, the CEO of Chick-fil-A, and Mother Teresa: their passion and unashamed radical visions sparked people to move. In the song “I Dare You To Move” by Switchfoot, the lyrics scream to us to move, to change, to motivate, to do exactly what leaders do. Jon Foreman, the bands lead singer says of this song that it “...Is fairly straight-forward. We have been given a new day. Our eyes open and our choices begin. Will we live half asleep? Or will we change our world; will we be Christ's hands and feet, the salt and the light of the world? I sing this song to myself and all others on a planet where complacency reigns supreme.”

We challenge you to move, to take the step if you are feeling as though this is where you should be. Take the step, make the call, send the e-mail or the Facebook message. Get involved.

The House In Creation

It’s exactly a week away from the opening of The House and the creative group behind the whole project is so excited! This past Wednesday we shared with each other what we were getting done, and we were amazed at how God was working in all of this. I was sitting in Chapel at AU listening to Jimmy Needham speak and lead worship when God moved me to talk to the girl next to me. When I asked her about possibly being a part of The House, she was enthusiastic! She replied “Oh wow! I’ve been praying about this!” It’s so awesome that we’ve been praying for leaders and for The House to come together and God is providing all that we need!
